SOFIA Mount Vitosha is a small ski resort favoured by the local Sofian population. It is ideal for beginners with some very good English speaking ski-schools. The Vitosha runs also suit expert ski-ers and snowboard enthusiasts. It is smaller than the bigger resort of Bansko but offers the opportunity to visit Sofia and experience its varied nightlife, restaurants, shopping and sight-seeing whilst being very convenient for ski-ing. The Monastery complex is only 70 m from the Gondola to access the Mountain.
